After dinner last night, Darren informed me that I'd given away his lunch on Sunday night. When I'm nervous - I go into southern hospitality overdrive. Our dinner guests liked the food and pie, so I packed up leftover biscuits, most of a pumpkin pie, and leftover samosas that Darren had gotten as appetizers. He informed me that the samosas on the counter in the kitchen had been his lunch for the next day.

This is Teddy. His interests include putting the neighbors' pugs in their place from behind the safety of a closed/locked door and eating cat poo. His best bud is the cat named Nelson who tolerates his bullying. He enjoys walks at the park as long as the dogs don't get too aggressive. He is considering a career in diplomacy or finance - feeling that he could do no worse than the fellows currently in charge.

Valentines Day

On this most romantic of holidays, the Walkers managed cause another embarrassing stir. It had been a busy week and I had a lot on my mind, so when Darren suggested that we get an Indian takeout and share a bottle of wine by candlelight, I looked up the number and phoned in our order. They said fifteen minutes. We drove over and had to wait a bit. An order came out, but it was for Eric. We waited a little longer and another order for another Eric showed up. After sitting there and chatting with the waitress for 15 min, she finally asked if we had actually ordered from their restaurant. It hit me that I had dialed the India Grill rather than the India Garden. We apologized and scooted down the street to the Grill. Just another day in the trenches of the Walkers' lives :)

About me

Hello,

Even though I don't feel that my life is that extraordinary, my friends have told me that my emails are so voluminous, that I should become a blogger.

I'm a librarian who lives with her husband, 2 dogs, and three cats. (It may take me a little while to get used to this blogging).
